 AUGUSTA, GEORGIA’s LEAD GRANT HAZARD REDUCTION PROGRAM

 COMMUNITY MEETING

 Notice is hereby given that the City of Augusta’s Housing and Community Development  (HCD) in partnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) on behalf of the Mayor and the Augusta-Richmond County Commission, announces to the Augusta,  Georgia Lead Grant Hazard Reduction Program. These funds, awarded through the United  States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), are administered by DPH  contracted to HCD on behalf of Augusta, Georgia.   

BACKGROUND

                On November 21, 2019, HUD awarded $3.3 million to the State of Georgia as part of the record investment of $314 million nationwide to 77 state and local government agencies, that will help protect Augusta children and families from lead-based paint and home health hazards.
