For more than 3 decades, “Project Impact” a program of DPH-East Central Health District has been preventing the spread of HIV and helping those impacted by HIV/AIDS live well. Our holistic, client-centered approach provides a variety of services including but not limited linking clients into medical and case management. We strive to address the roots of need including stigma and inequality – to improve health and wellness for everyone we serve.
Our services expand across the East Central Health District (13) counties and Aiken/Edgefield County in South Carolina.
Housing Opportunities for People with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) provide mortgage, rental, and utility assisting to those clients that live with-in our 13 counties. Clients must be referral to PI HOPWA from their medical provider and/or case manager. We also assist clients with their rent deposit and first month rent.
PI Care provides comprehensive client-centered care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Through this program, we connect individuals to a unique combination of resources, referrals, and services clients need to improve their health and quality of life while living with HIV.
