The State of Georgia has declared a state of emergency in light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The East Central Health District, Department of Public Health and Augusta 311 have set up a hotline for members of the public and the business community seeking guidance on how they can help in limiting the spread of the pandemic.
For those with symptoms, or general questions about the disease, how to self-quarantine, or questions about symptoms, call 311. Operators will transfer callers to medical professionals for advice. The hotline hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 5 days a week.
