TIP and TOSS

Tip and toss any items in your yard that hold standing water such as birdbaths, pet water bowls, wheelbarrows, kiddy pools, potted plants, tires, tarps, and gutters filled with debris. Mosquitoes only need 1 inch of standing water to lay their eggs. Tree holes should be packed with sand or cement, swimming pools need to be properly treated with chemicals and filtered, and ornamental ponds can be stocked with fish. Fill in low-lying areas in your yard so they don’t fill with water and become a breeding habitat.

Do your part to prevent mosquito habitats in your own back yard!
