WSPs IN STORM DRAINS
There are over 20,000 storm drains in Richmond County which are fantastic breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Richmond County mosquito control uses a Kawasaki Mule to drive through the neighborhoods in Richmond County and throw larvicide into storm drains. If you see this maroon-colored Kawasaki in your neighborhood, please know that our technicians are treating your storm drains for mosquito larvae. They are not littering! The packets that they are throwing in the storm drains are water soluble packets that contain larvicide to kill mosquito larvae to prevent the emergence of adult mosquitoes.
