East Central Health District Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for New Mobile Health Clinic

Augusta, GA — On October 30, 2025, the East Central Health District (District 6) proudly hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to unveil its new Mobile Health Clinic, a major step forward in expanding access to care across the district’s 13 counties. Local officials, community partners, and public health staff gathered to celebrate this milestone initiative, which will deliver vital health services such as check-ups, vaccines, screenings, and health education directly to underserved communities.

“The Mobile Clinic represents our commitment to bringing care closer to the people who need it most,” said Dr. Lee Donohue, District 6 Health Director. “By removing barriers like transportation and distance, we’re ensuring that everyone in East Central Georgia has the opportunity to receive quality care — right where they are.”

The Mobile Health Clinic will travel throughout Burke, Columbia, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Warren, and Wilkes counties under the district’s ongoing commitment to innovation and community health.
