National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) is April 16 – April 23.

It is an annual celebration of the importance vaccinations play in keeping children and communities healthy.

Most childhood vaccines produce immunity 90 percent to 100 percent of the time. Without vaccinations, your child is at greater risk of catching one of the vaccine-preventable diseases.

Vaccines are safe, and scientists continually work to make sure they become even safer.

Contact your local county health department or primary care provider for more information.
